Why chronic music syndrome?

Hi,

My name is Christian but you can call me Chris.

I'm new at this, I have no training in building web sites and related computer stuff, so please bear with me, I'm learning as I go along!...

Why "Chronic Music Syndrome"? ( a registered domain name by the way )

It is simply a play on words on two things that define who I am,

I am a music composer and I have been stuck with a moderate case(*see below) of CFS or Chronic Fatigue Syndrome since 1996.

Both music and CFS are "chronic" things in my life.

On this blog I will provide audio samples of my music ( as soon as I figure out how to do it...)
and will talk about my music(**see below ) to try and promote it for two different markets,

1 - Music lovers, people who buy CDs and mp3 downloads. (I will soon have some of my music for sale at CD Baby... more on this later... )

2- Professional Artists, Singers, Bands, Producers, et cetera who need catchy melodies/music (and who might already have their own lyrics since I rarely have ideas for lyrics)
OR other professionals who need sound tracks for Television, Films, Documentaries, Jingles et cetera...

Although this blog is mostly about my music I will occasionally talk a little about my health condition... as CFS is not well knowm nor understood, and you are probably unclear on what I am talking about... I can tell you this;

CFS is NOT contagious.

And it is NOT a degenerative condition, at least not in my case; I may not be cured but I am better... feeling better enough to be working part time.

CFS is still (mostly) a mistery to modern science and not everyone is affected to the same degree or gets better the way I did.

Unfortunately some people are much more affected than I am , well... I must say my first two years were pure misery! I thought I was dying...seriously I thought I was, it was that bad.

I will provide photos of myself soon, and you will see I do not look like a "sickly" little thing.

I have many other interests besides Music and Health but I will not get into those too often or too deep here at this blog.

* By "moderate case CFS " I mean I am feeling much better than I was 10 years ago, I am NOT bed ridden,
I am better but not cured from CFS.
I have good days and bad days. I have a part time job but somedays I need more rest than the average person. Other than that I am pretty much like every other normal person.
And remember; CFS is NOT contagious!

** By "my music" I mean most of the time ( like 99% of the time ) I work alone and do everything myself,
- Composing
- Making musical arrangements
- Playing the tracks ( piano, keyboards, guitar, bass, some vocals, et cetera...)
- Occasionally singing on demo versions ( I don't consider myself a singer but I can definitely sing on key...)
- Recording
- Mixing
- Making the final CD
- Answering emails
- Going to the post office
- Paying the bills
- Washing the dishes
- Emptying the cat litter,
et cetera...

I may occasionally work with other musicians/composers/singers. Their name will be clearly mentioned when this happens.

Nota; my first language is not English but French, so feel free to mention any typos or errors!

Thank you

Chris
